Katelyn Barney

Katelyn Barney is an Associate Professor in the School of Social Science and affiliated with the School of Music at the University of Queensland. Her research focuses on advancing understandings about the role of collaboration between Indigenous and non-Indigenous people and improving pathways for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students into and through higher education. She is a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy. Her edited book Musical Collaboration between Indigenous and non-Indigenous People in Australia: Exchanges in the Third Space received the Ellen Koskoff Edited Volume Prize. She is also the Managing Editor of The Australian Journal of Indigenous Education.
