Kate is a passionate advocate for engaging deeply with community members when developing wellbeing policy and measurement frameworks. She is an interdisciplinary researcher with a background in wellbeing policy frameworks, child wellbeing, wellbeing measurement, impact evaluation, public policy, community engagement, participatory approaches, longitudinal analysis, and nature connection. Kate is currently a Research Fellow at the University of Tasmania and President of the Bega Valley Data Collective.
Kate has over ten years of experience in a range of social research areas. She is skilled in both quantitative and qualitative methods and holds a PhD in Social Research, a MSc in Public Policy & Human Development, and a BSc in Statistics. Prior to her current roles, she has held research positions at the ANU, the Centre for Policy Development, ARACY (The Australian Research Alliance for Children and Youth), and the Australian Bureau of Statistics. She currently lives with her family in the Bega Valley on the lands of the Yuin people.
