Katarina completed her PhD in Epidemiology at the University of Ottawa, researching strategies for the prevention and control of ticks and Lyme disease. She holds a Master of Public Health degree from the University of Washington, where she studied the role of social factors in the malaria-climate relationship. Her research interests focus on the application of One Health approaches to address climate-sensitive health challenges, particularly vector-borne diseases.
