Karina Utami Dewi

Karina Utami Dewi is a faculty member at the Department of International Relations at Universitas Islam Indonesia, teaching and researching on gender, violence, civil society movement, and U.S. politics. Her publications include journal articles and books on gender and global politics, conflict and violence, and U.S. foreign policy. She is the co-author of *Demokrasi dan Pemilu di Amerika Serikat* (UII Press, 2020) and has contributed for numerous book chapters on women’s political representation, anti-sexual violence movements, gender and development, and religious populism.

She has more than a decade of academic and leadership experience, including Head of the Department, Director of Public Relations and Deputy Head of the International Program at International Relations. She is also active in various academic organizations, serving in the Indonesian International Relations Association, Indonesia's Epistemic Community for Gender in International Relations, as well as the Center for Gender Studies and the Center for the Study of Religion and Democracy at UII.

She has participated in several reputable international programs, including the Study of the United States Institute (SUSI) at Bard College, funded by the U.S. Department of State, Secondment for HORIZON- MSCA-SE project titled Overcoming Digital Divide in Europe and Southeast Asia (ODDEA) in Montenegro, and research work for the RAND Corporation.
