Dr Jasińska is an Associate Professor of Applied Psychology and Human Development at the University of Toronto, Director of the Laidlaw Research Centre at the Dr. Eric Jackman Institute of Child Study, and Scientific Director of the Brain Organization for Language and Literacy Development (BOLD) Laboratory. Her research examines how environmental factors shape children's neurocognitive development and learning, with a particular focus on multilingualism, poverty-related adversity, and educational disruption. Using behavioral methods, mobile neuroimaging, and large-scale impact evaluations, she studies learning in diverse contexts, including sub-Saharan Africa and refugee populations in Canada.
