Jusuf Ariz Wahyuono

I’m currently a PhD candidate in the College of Humanities, Arts and Social Sciences at Flinders University, focusing on the political economy of Indonesia’s game development industry. My research explores how global platform capitalism intersects with local creative labor and cultural policy.

Before starting my PhD, I worked as a lecturer in Communication Science at Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM), Indonesia, where I taught courses on game studies, media industries, cultural production, and digital society. I hold a Master’s degree in Communication Science from UGM as well, where I developed a strong foundation in media studies, research methods, and cultural analysis.

Across both academia and practice, my work bridges critical research and community engagement—particularly around creative industries, platform governance, and digital labor in Southeast Asia.
