Junior Amboko is a Congolese field conservationist, National Geographic Explorer, and PhD student at Florida Atlantic University.

He played a leading role in discovering Colobus congoensis, a rare new species of African monkey with striking pinkish-orange lips found in the Democratic Republic of Congo. The discovery was part of Mr Amboko's PhD research and he named the new monkey.
