Julia Self is an MSc student in Comparative Cognition & Behaviour at the University of Alberta, supported by an NSERC Canada Graduate Scholarship. Her thesis examined how individual biases influence conformity and the emergence of behavioural traditions. She has presented her work internationally and received awards for graduate research and teaching.
