Julia Creet is Professor of English at York University in Toronto. She is the author of The Genealogical Sublime, a history of the longest, largest, most complete, most lucrative and most rapidly-growing genealogy databases (U Mass Press, 2020) and the director of Data Mining the Deceased (56 mins 2017, HD), a documentary about the industry of family history. She is currently producing a documentary about what happens to our data when we die.
