Dr Juhri Selamet is a design researcher, educator and practitioner. He holds a PhD, sponsored and funded by the Australian Government Research Training Program (RTP), from the University of Technology Sydney (UTS), Australia; a Master’s degree from the University of Illinois Chicago (UIC), USA; and a Bachelor’s degree from Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB), Indonesia. Dr Selamet has published several papers in peer-reviewed journals, such as CoDesign, Design for Health, Information Design Journal, Visual Communication, Cities and Health, Visual Studies, Visual Communication Quarterly, International Journal of Visual Design, and others, exploring design topics in health, culture and society. Prior to returning to academia, he worked across industries including coal mining, health systems, think tanks and NGO-based humanitarian sectors. Dr Selamet has taught design classes in Indonesia, Kuwait, the US and Dubai, UAE.
