- Associate Professor of Behavioural Nutrition, University of Nottingham
Judy is an Associate Professor of Behavioural Nutrition at the University of Nottingham. Her work aims to reframe the discourse around food, health and obesity.
Judy is also part of The Nourishment Network, a nutrition communication project https://thenourishmentnetwork.com/about/
She is fascinated by science and passionate about the socio-culture meaning of food. She loves discussing complex ethical and philosophical issues, but hates academic snobbery. She reserves her wrath for judgmental, reductionist and risk-orientated approaches to nutrition that promise to make us ‘healthy’. Oh, and fat-shaming, thin-shaming, and all other ways in which people are made to feel shame about their bodies.
