Judith Lowes is a Lecturer in Psychology at the University of Stirling. Her PhD, funded by the Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC), investigated Objective and Subjective Experiences of Developmental Prosopagnosia. Her co-authors on this new study are Anna Bobak, Peter Hancock and Lesley McGregor, University of Stirling and Brad Duchaine, Dartmouth College.
Judith's research into face blindness has been published in leading scientific journals (Cortex, Visual Cognition) and presented at national and international conferences (Vision Sciences Society USA, European Conference on Visual Perception, Experimental Psychology Society). She currently holds a grant from ESRC to help improve understanding of face recognition difficulties and is working with affected individuals, education, and health professionals in Scotland to develop awareness-raising materials.
