Joseph O'Mahoney

Joseph O’Mahoney is an Associate Professor of International Relations at the University of Reading. His research primarily investigates international norm dynamics, including norms surrounding war, the proliferation of nuclear weapons, and human rights, as well as how we can establish motives, intentions, or reasons for action in international relations. He has authored articles in International Organization, European Journal of International Relations, International Studies Quarterly, and International Theory, as well as other outlets. He received a PhD in Political Science from George Washington University in 2012 and has previously been affiliated with MIT, Seton Hall University, and Brown University.
