I am Yorta Yorta (James Family) and Boonwurrung (Briggs Family). I have over 14 years Experience working within state government and the tertiary education sector. I have held leadership positions as the Program Manager for Indigenous Outreach within Murrup Barak at the University of Melbourne, the Manager of Policy and Strategy within the Aboriginal Health and Wellbeing Branch of the Department of Health Human Services (DHHS), I was the Specialist Advisor on Aboriginal Children and Families reform within DHHS, I was the Manager of Aboriginal Engagement and the Manager of Traditional Owner Engagement for the Department of Health and Human Services. More recently at Monash University I was the Indigenous Employment and Engagement Manager, the Cultural and Community Engagement Lead, and now currently the Director of Indigenous Innovation and Experiences Programs. I also partially completed a Master of Applied Linguistics, and I am currently supporting language work for both Yorta Yorta and Boonwurrung. I also currently serve on the Yorta Yorta Traditional Owner Land Management Board which is responsible for the implementation of the Joint Management Agreement between Yorta Yorta and the State Government for the custodianship of Barmah State Forest.
