Jonathan Webb is a neuroscientist in the final months of his DPhil in the Department of Physiology, Anatomy and Genetics at Oxford. Based in the Auditory Neuroscience Group, his research subject is the topography of responses and inputs in the mouse auditory cortex, particularly its interaction with other senses such as vision and touch.
Following undergraduate study at the University of Adelaide, he came to Oxford as a Rhodes Scholar in 2006 and read for an MSc in History of Science, Medicine and Technology and an MSc in Neuroscience.
He has a long-standing interest in science communication and worked for a year at the Science Media Centre in London. In 2013 he was a Runner-Up and won the audience vote in the UK final of FameLab.
