I hold a PhD in Neurobiology and I am currently an Adjunct Professor of Biological Sciences at Brock University where I specialize in the neurodevelopmental effects and behavioural pharmacology of cannabis, cannabinoids, and the endocannabinoid system. I have published 17 peer-reviewed papers in leading scientific journals, with several more currently under review, and have received numerous research awards for my work.

Beyond academia, I have contributed an invited book chapter on the state of medical cannabis in Canada, exploring how international markets can leverage Canada’s regulatory framework to expand their programs. I have also served as Co-Chair of the Medical and Scientific Advisory Committee for Medical Cannabis Canada and as Director of Research and Clinical Studies for Aphria Inc., one of the largest producers of cannabis worldwide. Additionally, I have developed several novel drug formulation and delivery patents for psychedelic compounds, which are currently filed with the USPTO.
