Jonathan Moore

I hold the Liber Ero Chair of Coastal Science and Management at Simon Fraser University and lead the Salmon Watersheds Lab, a team of around 20 students, researchers, and staff. We work in partnership with diverse communities to understand how aquatic ecosystems are changing and then work to translate the findings into positive change. I am also the director of the Aquatic Research Cooperative Institute (ARC) at SFU that links academic scientists to management agencies to advance the science-based management of Canada's aquatic resources. I have published 145 peer-reviewed papers, including in top journals like Science, and given over 140 invited presentations. These activities have been recognized by awards for scientific, policy, and conservation impact.
