- Doctorant en mycologie et écologie des vieilles forêts, Université du Québec en Abitibi-Témiscamingue (UQAT)
I'm a Ph.D. student in mycology and old-growth forest ecology at the Université du Québec en Abitibi-Témiscamingue since October 2024. My research aims to document fungal diversity, understand the mechanisms that shape their community assemblages, and determine their implications for ecosystem functioning at multiple spatial scales. I use a variety of approaches to achieve these objectives, including environmental DNA, integrative taxonomy, and community ecology. I am particularly interested in old-growth forests, ectomycorrhizal symbiosis, and arthropod-fungi interactions. The ultimate goals of my research are to provide fundamental data on fungal diversity and ecology, as well as to develop new tools to help integrate funga into conservation and sustainable forest management strategies.
