Dr John Butcher is an Adjunct Research Fellow with the John Curtin Institute of Public Policy at Curtin University. John was a co-investigator in a research project investigating the determinants for success when working across organisational and sector boundaries. John co-authored (with David Gilchrist, UWA) a book based on the research, Collaboration for Impact (ANU Press 2020). John's work focuses on the working relationship between government entities and non-state actors, principally the not-for-profit sector. John's publications include ‘The Three Sector Solution: Delivering public policy in collaboration with not-for-profits and business’ (with David Gilchrist, ANU Press 2016) and 'Policy in Action: The challenge of service delivery' (with John Wanna and Benoît Freyens, UNSW Press 2009).
