- Honorary Research Fellow, Director of Bereavement Services Counselling & Mental Health Clinic, York St John University
My specialism is bereavement counselling: practice and research. I completed my PhD thesis in 2017, on the assimilation analysis of the counselling sessions of bereaved clients. I am author of "Supporting People in Loss and Grief: An introduction for counsellors and other caring practitioners." 2014, London, Jessica Kingsley Publishers. I deliver a bereavement workshop annually at Hull and York Medical School. As an Honorary Fellow at York St John University, I am currently researching the relationship between attachment style and grief trajectory in bereaved adults.
British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy Accredited and Registered counsellor. 20 years specialising in bereavement. Author of 'Supporting People through Loss and Grief' (2014) Jessica Kingsley Publishers.
