John Eric Goff is Professor of Engineering Practice at Purdue University in Indianapolis, with a joint appointment in the Weldon School of Biomedical Engineering and the School of Mechanical Engineering. He is a physicist and sports engineer whose research includes soccer-ball aerodynamics, modeling of professional cycling and the Tour de France, fluid dynamics, and computational physics. He is the author of Gold Medal Physics: The Science of Sports and The Physics of Krav Maga. He has extensive experience communicating science to general audiences through print, radio, television, podcasts, and public lectures.
