Johanathan Woodworth

(He/him)

Johanathan Woodworth is an Assistant Professor of Education at Mount Saint Vincent University, working across teacher preparation, assessment, and equity, diversity, inclusion and accessibility. Queer, autistic, and racialized, he brings that position to bear as a critical vantage on all three. In teacher preparation, he examines how professional judgment holds up when AI enters lesson planning, feedback, and classroom decision-making, work that produced the BEARA framework. In assessment, he asks whose competence a piece of work evidences once AI has been involved in producing it, through VAAI, the Validity Architecture for AI-Integrated Assessment. In equity work, he examines how fairness, disability, and racialization run through each of these: which teachers are trusted to exercise judgment, which students are asked to account for their work, and who pays when attribution is settled carelessly.
