Dr. Joan A. Reid is a Professor of Criminology and the Director of the University of South Florida (USF) Trafficking in Persons (TIP) Risk to Resilience Research Lab. Dr. Reid has authored over 100 publications, chiefly focused on sex trafficking of girls and boys in the United States. Dr. Reid is listed on Stanford/Elsevier Top 2% Scientists List in 2020-2025. This prestigious list highlights the world’s leading scientists who have made a substantial impact in their respective fields through their citation influence among their academic peers. Dr. Reid has 17 years of research experience has worked extensively with Florida federal and state lawmakers to further policies focused on ending child trafficking in the United States.
