I am an Assistant Professor in the Department of Sport Industry Studies at Yonsei University in South Korea. Before joining Yonsei University in 2023, I served as an Assistant Professor at the University of Alabama in the United States. I earned my PhD in Sport Management and Policy from the University of Georgia in the United States in 2021.

My research focuses on sport governance, sport policy, Olympic legacy, and mega sporting events. More recently, my work has investigated dynamics and processes of institutional change in sport governance and policy. I examine how sport organizations and other stakeholders shape governance systems and the long-term impacts of sporting events.

I have published in leading academic journals and co-authored a book and several book chapters in the field of sport management and policy. My research has been supported by the International Olympic Committee (IOC) Olympic Studies Centre. My work has also received international recognition, including the European Association for Sport Management (EASM) Best Conference Paper Award and the North American Society for Sport Management (NASSM) Student Research Competition Award.
