Dr Liu Jianhui graduated from Yunnan University with a major in zoology, engaged in archaeological excavation and research of ancient humans and Paleolithics. He has participated in many archaeological excavations such as the dinosaur production site of Dawa and Dahuangtian in Lufeng County, the ancient ape fossil production area of Yuanmou Xiaohe, the early Pleistoic fossil production area of Zhongdian Nishi, the Paleolithic site of Laolongdong in Eshan County, the Paleolithic site of Longtan Mountain in Chenggong County, and the Han Tomb of the Old Coffin Hill in Wanzhou, Chongqing. Fifteen reports and papers have been published, and their representative works include "A New Genus of the Pigs in the Ancient Ape Strata of Yunnan Yuanmou", "A New Species of True Horn Deer Fossil in the Late Middle Age in Yunnan Yuanmou and Its Ancient Environment Exploration", "Systematic and Functional morphology of Molarochoerus yuanmouensis (Suidae, Mammalia) from the Late Miocene of Yunnan, China, "Comparison of Chinese and European Late Miocene Pigs Research: Biostratratology and Paleoecology, The Struggle for the Age of Yuanmou: China's Earliest Erect, etc.
