I am a biologist studying evolutionary genomics, with a particular interest in using comparative genomic approaches to uncover the genetic basis of major evolutionary transitions, especially cases of convergent evolution. My research focuses on comparative genomics, genetics, phylogenomics, animal evolution, and the evolutionary history of gene families.

My recent work includes projects on the convergent evolution of terrestrialization in animals and the evolutionary history of stem cell-related genes across the animal kingdom.
