Jessica Trisko Darden is an Associate Professor of Political Science at Virginia Commonwealth University and Director of the Security and Foreign Policy Initiative at William & Mary’s Global Research Institute. Her research focuses on the intersection of conflict and international development. She is the author of "The Accused: How Women Faced Justice for Nazi-Era Crimes" (Yale University Press, 2026), "Aiding and Abetting: US Foreign Assistance and State Violence" (Stanford University Press, 2020) and co-author of "Women as War Criminals: Gender, Agency, and Justice" (Stanford University Press, 2020) and "Insurgent Women: Female Combatants in Civil Wars" (Georgetown University Press, 2019).
