Jessica Lloyd May

(She/Her)

Jessica Lloyd May is a historian and folklorist with a deep interest in the intersections of folklore, traditions, and community identity. My current research is on the re-enchantment of the 21 st century, and using oral histories to focus on qualitative human experiences and insights into folk practices. Through archival study, oral history, and ethnographic fieldwork, I explore the cultural work of revival and enchantment, and how performance, nostalgia, and community shape our understanding of the past.
