  • Investigadora postdoctoral en Ecología urbana y de enfermedades transmitidas por vectores, Universidad de Granada

My research integrates the fields of urban ecology, disease ecology, and ecotoxicology, with a central focus on the physiological and health-related responses of wildlife to anthropogenic environmental stressors. I investigate how urbanization and anthropic pollutants interact with pathogen dynamics, particularly focusing on avian malaria, to influence pathogens transmission dynamics and avian health and physiology. My approach combines experimental work on captive birds while also embracing fieldwork with wild bird populations with molecular, physiological, and ecological analyses, statistical modelling, and biomarker assessment. I aim to establish myself as an independent researcher at the forefront of urban and disease ecology under a One Health perspective.
