I work 2 days week as a GP in Bradford, and 3 days a week as a researcher at the University of Leeds. The main focus of my research is general practice. I am currently doing a PhD investigating how the public can participate in service improvement in general practice (http://medhealth.leeds.ac.uk/profile/600/1186/jess_drinkwater). I have also been involved in research about how GPs support families affected by domestic violence (http://www.bristol.ac.uk/primaryhealthcare/researchthemes/responds/), how long term conditions are managed in general practice, and work life balance of female GP trainees. I am interested in participatory research methods, working with different stakeholders involved in a problem to find relevant solutions.
