- PhD student, University of Warwick
Jennifer is currently completing her doctorate in arts education under an ESRC studentship at The University of Warwick's Centre for Educational Studies. She also teaches for Warwick Business School, where she supervises on their Advanced Teaching of Shakespeare MA.
Supervised by Jonothan Neelands, her research looks at socio-cultural conceptions of playfulness in theatre education, through a case study of the work of Shakespeare Schools' Festival. Her research interests include critical approaches to theatre education and mixed methodologies, particularly linguistic ethnography and other discursive approaches to qualitative research.
Previous to beginning her doctorate Jennifer worked as a theatre education practitioner in London for several years, including a year's residency at Shakespeare's Globe. She now continues freelance education work alongside her research.
