Jen Pierce

Jen Pierce, Ph.D., is a professor in the Department of Geosciences at Boise State University and directs the Earth Wind and Fire Laboratory. Much of her field research and published work has focused on wildfires: What are the feedbacks among wildfires, climate, vegetation and geomorphic response? How important are fires to long-term rates of erosion? She also leads volunteer outreach to K-12 classrooms through the Idaho Climate Literacy Education Engagement & Research program.
