I hold a PhD in Computing from the University of Waikato, completed in December 2019. I am currently a Senior Lecturer (Software Engineering) in the School of Computing and Mathematical Sciences, at the University of Waikato, where I teach and supervise students across undergraduate and postgraduate programmes.
My academic background and research expertise span wearable and mobile computing, biosignal analysis, human-robot interaction, and culturally responsive computing. Alongside my teaching and research roles, I contribute to academic leadership through a range of service positions, including scholarship, academic quality, and Māori advancement initiatives.
I am also an active researcher, serving as an Associate Investigator on externally funded research projects and collaborating with national and international partners on interdisciplinary research addressing both technological innovation and social impact.
