Jemima is a PhD candidate at the Australian National University's Centre for Classical Studies. She has a Master of Arts from the University of New England and a Bachelor of Science, also from the ANU.

Jemima studies scientific writing, methods, and beliefs in the ancient Roman world. She is particularly interested in how Romans acquired and transmitted knowledge about natural phenomena, and how the study of science intersected with Roman political and cultural worlds.
