Jean-Daniel Zucker is a French senior researcher, computer scientist, and engineer specializing in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and the modeling of complex systems. He serves as a Research Director at the French National Research Institute for Sustainable Development (IRD) and has directed the UMMISCO laboratory (Mathematical and Computer Modeling of Complex Systems) from 2014 to 2024. He is since 2025 deputy director of this laboratory
