Dr. Kostrna has a PhD in sport and exercise psychology and a masters in measurement and statistics from FSU. Dr. Kostrna has been working in the exercise science field for the past 10 years specializing in researching decision-making in sport and exercise. Dr. Kostrna currently hold positions as: an Assistant Professor and graduate program leader in the Kinesiology and Exercise Science Program at FIU, an Association for Applied Sport Psychology Certified Mental Performance Consultant and Mentor, and member of the United States Olympic and Paralympic committee registry for sport psychology. Dr. Kostrna's research has been funded by the National Science Foundation and the Association for Applied Sport Psychology and has been published in top academic journals including Journal of Sports Sciences, Psychology of Sport and Exercise, and the International Journal of Sport and Exercise Psychology.
