Jason Mueller is an Assistant Professor of Sociology at Kennesaw State University.
He earned a PhD in Sociology, in 2020, and has published numerous pieces on development, conflict, peace-building and politics in Somalia, especially as they relate to the US War on Terrorism. His overarching interests explore structural issues of violence and oppression, and how they are contested around the globe. This research is broadly interdisciplinary, and has covered political protests across the US, war and peace in the Middle East, and natural resource extraction in Southern Africa.
