Jason Ashe is a doctoral student at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County (UMBC), studying behavioral medicine and community psychology. After earning his B.S. in Chemistry from MIT, Jason obtained his M.Div. and Th.M. from Duke Divinity School, concentrating on pastoral care for the sick and bereaved, cross-cultural theology, and the intersection of medicine, theological ethics, and race. As a scholar of theological bioethics and social health psychology, Jason studies how psychosocial risk and resiliency factors influence cardiovascular disease risk among African Americans.
