Jasmine Garland

(she/her)

Jasmine Garland is a graduate researcher at the University of Colorado Boulder working in energy systems, climate resilience, and machine learning applications for power grids. Her research focuses on weather-driven power system operations, outage forecasting, and climate adaptation. She has had research stints at the National Laboratory of the Rockies (formerly the National Renewable Energy Laboratory), ETH Zürich, and the Pacific Northwest National Laboratory.

Her work combines machine learning, optimization, and large-scale energy system modeling to better understand how extreme weather and climate change affect infrastructure reliability and operations. She is particularly interested in integrating climate data into power system forecasting and planning, improving grid resilience, and developing equitable approaches to the energy transition.
