Dr Jaqui Hughes BMed FRACP PhD is a Torres Strait Islander woman, and Darwin-based clinician caring for adults with kidney disease. She is also a clinical researcher at Menzies School of Health Research, and addresses healthcare service strengthening and patient-centred renal care aligned to the values of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander patients and community. Dr Hughes leads several current research projects including the eGFR Study, Catching Some Air, and Me and Kidney Care. She is also focussed on supporting the development of professional capacity among Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander clinical and research workforce.
