- Senior Lecturer in Reproductive Biology and Biotechnology, Te Herenga Waka — Victoria University of Wellington
PhD in Reproductive Biology (1994-1997). This PhD project investigated the endocrine regulation of reproduction in the brushtail possum. The research was performed at AgResearch Invermay and the University of Otago
Post-doctoral fellow at the Human Reproductive Sciences Unit, Medical Research Council, Edinburgh, Scotland (1998-2002). Myresearch investigated the molecular regulation of the brain on reproduction in mammals.
Scientist in Reproductive Biology at AgResearch Wallaceville, Upper Hutt (2002-2007). My research focused on the role of prolactin on reproduction in the brushtail possum and identifying potential areas for biocontrol targets.
Senior Research Fellow (2007-2012) and then Senior Lecturer (2013-present) at Victoria University. My research focus is on the factors that regulate egg (oocyte) maturation in mammals (and parrots). My particular interest is in the characterisation of the follicular microenvironment that enables in an oocyte to develop into a viable offspring after fertilisation.
