Janelle Mwerinde

I am a PhD researcher investigating the skin microbiome and its role in dermatological conditions, with a particular focus on Sensitive Skin Syndrome.

I completed an integrated Master’s degree (MBiol) in Biochemistry at Nottingham Trent University, where my research explored the effects of low vitamin B12 on placental cell function. I began my doctoral studies in 2024 at Nottingham Trent University within the AROM microbiology group, working in collaboration with Walgreens Boots Alliance (No7) to advance understanding of skin health
