Jamie Wilks

Following the completion of my bachelors in Geography, I embarked on a Masters degree in Climate Change, Politics and Policy. This degree programme focused on climate change science, risk and adaptation and the Open-Source Energy Modelling system. Whilst a student at Loughborough I was part of the performance swimming team and competed at Junior International Level.

My dissertation titled 'Sport Ecology in Rugby Union: a study of the impacts of climate change on the professional and grassroots game' was graded with distinction and received the prize for the highest grade across Climate Change subjects. I also gained a Carbon Literacy qualification and professional experience in sustainability audits of small and medium size enterprises.

For my PhD, I am researching the synergies and trade-offs between climate mitigation and adaptation practices and the existing interests of Professional Rugby.
