- Assistant Professor, University of Oklahoma
I am an Assistant Professor in the School of Meteorology at the University of Oklahoma. In my research I use fluid dynamics, numerical modeling, and observations to investigate questions related to tropical cyclones (hurricanes), tropical meteorology, and climate. I am especially fascinated by the physical processes involved in the formation of tropical cyclones, down to the smallest scales of interaction between cloud particles and radiation. In my research I seek to better understand the dynamics of extreme rainfall and the storm systems that produce it, with the objective of helping us improve the predictions of weather and climate.
