Dr James Goring is a Lecturer with the School of Education at Deakin University. His research interests lie at the intersection of the critical sociology of education and youth studies. Using qualitative research methodologies he seeks to better understand the relationships between young people’s health and wellbeing, their education, training and employment pathways in the Anthropocene. James is a co-founding member of the Young People’s Sustainable Futures Lab and is currently working on initiatives framed by themes of intergenerational justice, regenerative futures, educational equity and applied learning.
