Dr. James N. Gilmore is an Associate Professor of Media and Technology Studies and Graduate Coordinator in the Department of Communication at Clemson University. Dr. Gilmore's research analyzes the cultural politics of media and communication technologies, with a particular interest in understanding the processes and consequences of datafication, or how computational technologies convert human behavior to data. Dr. Gilmore is primarily known for his research on wearable technologies.
