Jacqueline Bowden (BA Hons, Psychology; MPH; PhD) is a behavioural scientist who has worked in public health for over 15 years. She is Deputy Director of the Health Policy Centre at the South Australian Health and Medical Research Institute (SAHMRI), located in Adelaide, Australia.
With a background in psychology and public health, Jacqueline has been undertaking research in the area of public health since 2000, particularly in tobacco control since 2002. Her research focus is in the area of policy and health promotion and ways to encourage individuals to make behavioural changes to improve their health. Her specific research areas of interest are the risk factors that contribute to cancer, particularly tobacco and alcohol.
