Jacob Owusu Sarfo

I am a Licensed Clinical Psychologist and a Multidisciplinary Researcher, with over a decade of sustained scholarly contributions in mental health, psychology, and public health, with a particular focus on low- and middle-income countries.
I currently work as a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Health, Physical Education and Recreation and also as the Coordinator of the Centre for Educational Research, Evaluation and Development, both at the University of Cape Coast. Concurrently, I serve as a Research Fellow under the Chief Albert Luthuli Research Chair at the University of South Africa, where my research advances interdisciplinary inquiry into the psychosocial determinants of health, population mental health, and health systems in Africa.

As part of my qualifications, I have completed dual doctorates; a PhD (Psychology) with a focus on Clinical and Health Psychology and a PhD (Health Promotion) with a focus on Occupational and Environmental Health. I also have a Post-Graduate Diploma in Education and a Diploma in Business Management and Administration. Collectively, my research outputs, funding success, postgraduate supervision, editorial leadership, and professional service demonstrate a coherent and independent academic trajectory characterised by sustained productivity, international collaboration, and meaningful contribution to public health and psychosocial science.
