My primary research interests lie in invasion biology, plant ecology, plant-soil microbial interactions, population genetics, and phylogeography. My research involves approaches aimed at better understanding the microevolutionary dynamics and biogeography of plants, particularly introduced non-native species. I am also interested in unravelling the patterns and pathways of historical extreme long-distance dispersal to explain peculiar plant distributions. My research interests in plant-soil microbial interactions (especially between legumes and nitrogen-fixing rhizobia) aim to understand the role these may play in facilitating the establishment of non-native legumes and their subsequent impacts on soil microbial function and native plant-microbial interactions.
