Jackie has qualifications and experience in biomedical and social sciences and draws on both in her work. Jackie’s principal research focus is community participation in decision-making in obesity prevention policy (particularly in the use of regulation and law) and health technology assessment. In particular, she is interested in: informed decision-making through the use of deliberative inclusive methods and development of new methods for collecting and synthesizing community views. In addition, she has published in the area of publication ethics documenting the normal misbehavior occurring in the publication of research in Australia.
